Presented by RBC/RBTT BANK Art Rules Aruba 2011 kicks off on July 11th with a full length introduction week, followed by a kick off party on July 15th and it’s 2 week workshop program starting July 18th. Not only offering the workshops and classes, Art Rules Aruba 2011 will also present several events and parties during the program and a major closing event on Saturday July 30th in Nicolas followed by the theatrical final showcase on July 31st at Cas di Cultura..
With more disciplines this year the Pancake Gallery Foundation has upgraded the program and strengthens it’s team with a Ralph Lauren designer for the Fashion workshops, an international rapper for the Rap & Poetry workshops and also a big screen Actor and award-winning Poet for the Theater workshops. These are just a few teachers joining an amazing team of professionals whom, joined by local professionals, will be coming to the Island from places including, New York, London, Amsterdam and even Canada.
As the new teachers and disciplines offer new skills and new techniques to the classes, the Pancake Gallery is exited that this year’s edition offers a broader curriculum to Arts education for Aruba. This also being criteria for many of its sponsors and partners to get on board, the Pancake Gallery continues to be committed to investing in the advancement of the education for the youth and the development of the Arts & Culture of the Island.
How to Apply?
Students can apply to participate in Art Rules Aruba 2011 by visiting www.artrulesaruba.com. The website has an application form that is easy to fill in along with a text box for a required motivation letter stating why one wants to be in the program.
A couple of disciplines have been filled up which means that if you are interested and want to participate apply as soon as possible!!
Cost for the program is Afl. 200/$112 and covers the participation in the program, all class materials, snacks & beverages during classes, bus transportation to the workshop location and an Art Rules Aruba 2011 t-shirt.
