Windows On Aruba Restaurant Recognized for Excellence

It gave Divi’s Managing Director Alex Nieuwmeyer great pleasure to compliment and praise his restaurant staff, at Windows on Aruba, for receiving the ultimate endorsement from Caribbean Travel + Life Magazine. The restaurant was recently nominated in the “Best Restaurant” category for Caribbean Travel + Life magazine’s “Best of the Caribbean” 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.  It is the only restaurant in Aruba in the running for the distinction.  Voting has just opened via the magazine’s website, and votes will be accepted between now and October 15th.  The winners will be announced in the January/February “Best of the Caribbean” special issue of the magazine and will also appear on the website. The magazine annually polls 17,000 discerning readers whose passion for the Caribbean is matched only by their desire to share it.  Nieuwmeyer celebrated the prestigious nomination with members of the kitchen brigade and members of the dining room staff over flutes of champagne. He also shared with his cadre a special edition of the restaurant’s Cabernet Sauvignon, with a customized label, attesting to the restaurant achievements in culinary excellence, namely being voted the #1 restaurant on RestaurantsAruba.com and already winning an award of excellence by Caribbean Travel magazine 2011, as the Best Restaurant in the Caribbean.

Pictured here the celebration at Windows on Aruba, as Nieuwmeyer congratulates his team for serving the best in steak and fish on the island.
