Guests of Garufa Ultra Lounge enjoyed the music of the Tramps Friday night when MargaritaVille met Blowing in the Wind, the Latin version, following Get Your Kicks on Route 66, chased by hit songs of Enrique Iglesias and Juan Luis Guerra.
The Tramps delivered an excellent performance with music from the 60s and 70s at the stylish Ultra Cocktail Lounge, on Wilhelminastraat.
The band also played many unforgettable compositions by the Beatles, the Temptations, the Drifters, Roy Orbison and the Bee Gees, as well as their Latin contemporaries Banda 007, Los Impalas from Venezuela, and the music of Antillean legend Rudy Plaate.
Congratulations to Ruddy Perrotte, for arranging the encore presentation.
The Tramps got together in 1967, and have been playing ever since in various musical combinations, always enthusiastically received by fans and friends.
Guitar man Glen Stenker and Alfred Leon on base, joined singers Frank Tromp and Carl Tjon A Tjoe and drummer Frank Arends, to rock the club, back by popular demand for the second time, after last week’s tremendous concert.
