At the annual Christmas Gala, Management of La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club awarded The Eagle Team an Incentive Bonus for outstanding performance during 2011. The Eagle Team, made up of associates from all resort departments, is entrusted with monitoring and enhancing associates’ satisfaction, as measured in the yearly Associates Opinion Surveys. The Eagle Team also plays an active role in the Associates General Meetings, besides organizing vision days, auditing departments’ standards procedures and processes and making recommendations to improve work areas and benefit plans.
In compliance with the Resort’s Mission, The Eagle Team took ownership of its social responsibility by donating the 2009 and 2010 Incentive Bonus respectively to the Red Cross, Haiti’s tragic earthquake relief fund, and to a student in need. With their 2011 bonus the Team decided to collaborate with the “Chaz Club” to bring the Christmas spirit to the elderly citizens living in “Huize Maristella,” as a token of gratitude for their many contributions to Aruba’s development. With the bonus, the Team purchased a variety of items, making attractive Christmas baskets, designed to put a smile on the face of any elderly recipient. A short entertainment program was also put in place to delight the elderly citizens.
“Coro Divino Niño” from Santa Cruz sang angelical Christmas carols and concluded with a very touching Dande dedicated to the elderly and associates of the home. Mathilde Benito, a La Cabana song festival participant and winner of many competitions sang the popular “Oh Holy Night” and “The Chaz Club” children sang, danced and presented a live nativity scene. Meanwhile the elderly participated in a quiz of local expressions which they liked very much. The ones who had the right answer won a Christmas basket. Our pictures can attest to how much fun was had by the elderly who expressed heartfelt thanks to every one for giving of their time and talent so that the seniors could have a memorable experience.
Special praise is due to Eddy Tromp from “Eddy Tec”, “Coro Cristal” and “The Chaz Club” for their yearly outstanding performance, and to “The Women’s Club of Aruba” who tirelessly and royally cater to the “grandinan.” Kudos to the dynamic presentation of “Paranda di Grupo HospiBondi,” who contributed greatly to the success of the day. Flora and Calixta, in charge of Huize Maristella, collaborated nicely with the visitors, to produce a worthwhile event!
