The restaurant will be preparing a gourmet five-course dinner, paired with an outstanding selection of international wines, proving that the pleasure of wine drinking starts with the glass!

Kent Lewis of Riedel will lead participants through an entertaining and educational experience of how dramatically Riedel, the best and most famous wine glasses in the world, enhance the enjoyment of wines. He will also award each patron a set of 4 Riedel crystal wine glasses.
Riedel wine glasses are shaped especially for major grape varietals such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Riedel has special flutes designed for Champagne, and stylish Cocktail and Martini glasses. The entire collection is available in Aruba at ASD Hotel & Restaurant, Equipment & Supplies, in Eagle.
The company was launch in the early 17th century in Bohemia, in central Europe, where glass blowers from Italy migrated north to the woods of the Sudeten Mountains in search of fuel for their glass furnaces. Tradition and Innovation have typified the company’s success story for the past 300 year, through 11 generations of Riedel family members.

The culinary team of Windows on Aruba will be pairing an award winning menu with great wines serving Beef and Mushrooms with Veramonte, Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley, Chile 2009; Scallops and Shrimp with Domaine Neumeyer, Pinot Blanc, La Tulipe, Alsace, France, 2009; Halibut and Duck with Schug, Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, California, 2009; Veal in Merlot with Clos du Val, Merlot, Napa Valley, California, 2006; and Chocolate and Lemon for dessert, with Quady Elysium, Black Muscat Madera, California.
A welcome drink will be served at 6:30pm on Friday, 23rd, before the table d’hôte menu.
