An elegant evening was orchestrated by the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa in conjunction with the Aruba Tourism Authority, and the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association, designed the inform and entertain the delegates of the Annual Tourism Conference Aruba 2011.
The gathering brought key marketing players of the North American market to Aruba for three days of intense business sessions, and three nights of tropical enchantment, April 11 – 14, 2011.
Thirty-six tour operators and nineteen sales representatives of Aruba in major cities in North America & Canada, enjoyed an extravagant production under the stars, their barefoot toes cooling in the sugar-white sand of Palm Beach.
The evening was attended by Aruba’s Minister of Tourism and Transport Otmar Oduber, who addressed the delegates sharing his vision of Aruba’s tourism future. His remarks were followed by a warm welcome by General Manager Rob Smith who briefed the dignitaries on the state of the resort’s US$28 million refresh.
He then went on to introduce the Director of Sales Arianne Valentino, who thanked the travel professionals for taking the time to visit Aruba and get to know the Radisson team, prepared to do business with individuals and groups in North America.
Dinner featured interesting fusion dishes prepared by Executive Chef Hector Espinoza, mixing local ingredients with favorite recipes, including Cactus Soup, and a grand Surf & Turf combo platter, chased by the chef’s delectable chocolate mousse for dessert.
The evening’s entertainment included a fun slide presentation of ATCA’s events in Aruba and DJ music by top names about to arrive on Aruba for the Memorial Day Weekend, for the 11th Annual Soul Beach Music Festival May 25 – June 3.
