Passions on the Beach and Jordan Vineyards Deliver a Memorable Culinary Experience Hosted by Courtney Cataruzolo, Regional Sales Director, Jordan Vineyard

Eagle Beach — The charming Courtney Cataruzolo, who travels the world to promote the Jordan winery, and the dedicated team of Arion Wine Company NV, hosted the recent wine and food pairing at Passions on the Beach and received many warm accolades from food and wine aficionados who congregated on the sugary white sands, sipping a nice selection from the high-ranking Jordan brand, while savoring a wonderful five-course dinner.

The evening started with a reception on the beachside deck at the Amsterdam Manor on Eagle Beach just past sunset, and continued toes-in-the-sand, to the soft sound of guitar music, under the twinkling lights of the old kwihi trees, in an unforgettable tropical ambiance.

The chef of Passions on the Beach created an excellent menu to go with the award winning Jordan wines, imported to Aruba by Arion Wine Company NV. During the reception, party-goers enjoyed an amuse of quinoa salad, cucumber, fresh mint and olive oil, goat cheese, poached pineapple and green apple with almond butter chased by a 2011 Mouton Cadet Sauvignon Blanc, from Bordeaux France.

As guests got seated for dinner, the appetizer was served: Layers of smoked salmon and poached grouper wrapped in grilled zucchini, served with a parsley aioli paired with 2010 Jordan Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California. The much-anticipated main course featured a petit filet mignon, with traditional Bordelaise sauce, on a bed of roasted garlic mashed potatoes and green asparagus, paired with 2003 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California.

Marc Giesbers, the resort’s director of Food & Beverage was especially proud of the innovative dessert serving dark chocolate cake with aged-balsamic-sea-salt accompanied with red fruit macedoine and toasted pistachios, paired with 2004 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California.

During dinner Courtney, who is a trained hospitality executive by profession, explained that Jordan Vineyards specialize solely in the production of ultra-premium, vintage dated Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from Sonoma County, California. For 30 years, Jordan has consistently produced elegant, approachable, age-worthy wines, since the initial release of its Cabernet Sauvignon (vintage 1976) in 1980.

Govert van de Hout, Arion Wine Company NV, was especially pleased that Jordan came to Aruba to promote brand awareness, appreciation and demand, going through his company where fine wines are hand sold to preferred local customers.

Arion Wine Company, exclusive importer of Jordan to Aruba informs that the wine delivers exceptional quality for a fair price, and that it is one of the top selling Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines in the US, rated overall #5 as the best selling brand in America’s favorite restaurants.
