The Aruba Trading Company & the Westin Aruba Resort combined creativity and resources to present Discover the Sparkle of Champagne at the Grand Ballroom as a fantastic finale to the Wine, Food & Art Festival, 2008, in it 4th annual edition.
Bottomless flutes of MoÃ«t et Chandon & Dom Perignon combined nicely with the gourmet menu offered by visiting celebrity Master Chef Eric Scuiller who offered a refined array of French-inspired dishes with a hint of Caribbean influences, to an elegant crowd of locals and visitors.
The art at the Champagne Gala was curated by Gilbert Senchi of the Oranjestad Kunsthuis Foundation and the event offered a number of works for auction, with auctioneer Brian Reeves.
The artists donating their works to the auction designed to benefit special art projects for infirmed elderly and handicapped children were Mick Miller, Silvio Bufalini, Grace Ashruf & Joe Miklojcik, as well as a number of works donated by special guest, Sir Shadow, a unique painter from NY, with musician Daniel Aguirre on piano.
