Laguna restaurant reopens with fresh menus and look

With one of the island’s most unique and picturesque settings, Laguna restaurant at the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa reopened this past weekend after a brief hiatus to refresh the décor and create new theme night menu concepts.
The buffet restaurant offers affordable dining in an upscale environ.
Laguna diners can enjoy indoor seating or al fresco seating on the large deck overlooking a Zen-like tropical garden with lush landscaping and large coy pond.
Every evening (except Monday) offers a different theme night, with an all-you-care-to-eat concept created by an award-winning culinary team.
Sunday night is “Grill Night” where chefs are pulling choices like steak chimichuri, chorizo, and spare ribs hot off the grill right on the restaurant’s al fresco deck.  Tuesday night is “Caribbean Night,” where diners can sample many of the region’s traditional dishes like local beef stoba, locally-caught fresh snapper in Creole sauce, and Dutch-inspired keshi yena. Wednesday is for Italian food lovers, with a chef-attended pasta station offering choices of different pastas and sauces, roasted leg of lamb, mushroom risotto, lasagna, and chicken with tomato and olive relish.
Thursday evening features Château Briand, as well as pork forestiere, roasted turkey, salmon in white wine sauce, and escargot pasta. Seafood fans will love Friday night, where they can start dinner with a creamy seafood chowder, then move on to fresh, locally-caught grouper, seafood thermador,
seafood paella, and other seafood delicacies.   Every theme night includes a
gourmet salad bar, peel-n-eat shrimp, homemade soups, many side dishes, and a selection of pastries and cakes prepared by the resort’s pastry chef.
Laguna is popular with locals and tourists who enjoy the wide selection of cuisine on the buffets, and the affordable price of $23.95. For more information or to make reservations, call 526-6612 or 526-6613, or email at
