With one of the island’s most unique and picturesque settings, Laguna restaurant at the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa just revealed its new all day dining menu, including a fresh lunch concept, served daily from 12 noon.
The Radisson’s famous terrace restaurant widely recognized for its excellent breakfast buffet and for its nightly themed buffet spreads is now also serving lunch besides offering a refreshed dinner menu, says Director of Food & Beverage Gerard Coste. The new menu targets resort guests, as well as the local business community, he adds.
Lunch is a contemporary concept, Coste explains, focusing on Soup & Salad Combos for just $9.95. The fantastic salad bar includes a variety of options from fresh greens, to prepared seafood, pasta and vegetable salads paired with house specialties and homemade soups, chased by assorted dressings and condiments.
Patrons pressed for time, coming off the beach, or out of their offices may enjoy an efficient and healthy lunch, served in the bright and friendly air-conditioned dining room, or on the tropical deck.
Those with some more time on their hands may combine their Soup & Salad Combos with unusual appetizers, hot and cold sandwiches, just-made pizzas, and tossed to order pasta dishes, also on the new extended menu.
Grilled Shrimp Bruschetta, Soft Shell Crabs, Crusted Swordfish salad, Beef Carpaccio and Laguna Ceviche are just a few of the appetizers listed. Chicken or Beef Quesadilla, Blackened Fresh Grouper, Steak Sandwich and the signature Focaccia Burger join as tempting specialties; Margherita, Pepperoni and Hawaii, are ready to please pizza-lovers and kids, and the mix & match Pasta Sauces combine nicely with Spaghetti, Penne & Fettucine. The chef’s authentic homemade Beef Lasagna, is a must try.
Dinner is an equally delicious affair at Laguna restaurant, and all entrees include Soup & Salad for an added value combination, with prices starting at $27.00 for the three-course dinner.
The a la carte menu includes under Fresh Market Catch a Lobster & Seafood Platter, and a Macademia Crusted Grouper; The Sizzling Grill delivers Certified Black Angus Filet Mignon and New York Sirloin Strip Steak as well as the restaurant’s popular Skirt Steak with a Crab Mojo; Oven-baked specialties such as Chicken Provincial, Roast Duck and the Sunset Grill’s own, legendary, Veal Oscar, round up the dinner choices.
For the more value-conscious patron, Laguna restaurant offers a $23.95 special including Soup & Salad and a different main course every night, from Monday’s Fajita Night to Tuesday’s Caribbean Night, the menu lists Wednesday’s Noche Italiano, Thursday’s famous French Chateaubriand, Friday’s Seafood Festival, Saturday Night’s Prime Rib Special and Sunday’s BBQ, Hot Off the Grill, all accompanied by the appropriate sides and sauces. The nightly themed dinners are being served from 5pm to 11pm.

With the Aruba Tower of the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa and the Sunset Grille Restaurant closed for refresh until September 2011, Laguna Restaurant has taken over the heart and soul of food service at the resort.
