The Associates Parking Lot was filled with party-goers for Friday night’s Carnival Jump-In emceed by Alberto Groeneveldt. The Carnival Jump-In was organized as a fund raiser, designed to bring in much needed financial assistance for associates with family members in Haiti, struck by the disastrous earthquake on January 12th. The event offers food and drink for sale, home-made sweets and delicious soup combined with a complete entertainment program, and non-stop Carnival music.
Live DJ mixing started the festivities in an upbeat mood, and when Impak, an excellent local band rolled into the parking lot on its fully equipped music trailer, the party really took off.
Alberto and members of the social committee worked hard to make the evening a reality. They recruited sponsors, collected prizes and motivated both guests and associates to attend.
Our pictures show the surprise twin queen-coronation of an associate, member of the PBX department Alexandra Werleman and of one the resort’s favorite repeat guests, as Carnival Queens, also the winner of the fantasy tee-shirt decoration contest, members of management, and the community project committee members. “We work hard,†says General Manager Joe Najjar, with a great sense of satisfaction, “and we play hard, having a great time together, on the job and off duty.â€
