La Cabana Beach and Racquet Club Shows that It Cares

A part of La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club’s mission statement includes the following compelling sentence:”We take pride and ownership in our environment and social responsibilities.”

While the resort is always active, working on behalf of the island community at large, the housekeeping-department is especially aware of the importance of lending a helping hand.

This year the department introduced the Gran Cambio team, putting in place a committee in charge of making a difference.

Their first initiative was undertaken in collaboration with Total Cleaning, a company which renders regular services to the resort.

Total Cleaning donated 21 laundry baskets and La Cabana’s Team filled these laundry baskets with bed sheets, blankets, pillow cases, bath towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels, designed to make life at St. Michael Paviljoen, a bit more comfortable.

St. Michael Paviljoen was overjoyed with the donation and the efforts of La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club and Total Cleaning, since these items were really needed by the elderly residing in the facility.

St. Michael Paviljoen is one of three homes for the elderly, which are often infirm and limited in mobility. While the institutions are government subsidized they often rely on the goodness of community members for many of their urgent needs.
