The campaign is aimed at providing education and thus a better future to millions of children suffering the consequences of war and conflict. Bvlgari has decided to support this campaign by raising 10 million euros before the end of 2009, of which millions have already been donated.
To mark the 125th anniversary and to bring the campaign to Aruba as well, the Bvlgari store at the Renaissance Mall offered an elegant cocktail party, just recently.
Owner Robert Gandelman and his members of staff, were on hand to greet and host the local dignitaries over Italian bubbly and hors d’oeuvres.
The special silver ring and silver pendant designed by Bvlgari were introduced in Aruba. They were created to support the Rewrite the Future campaign, and are engraved on the outside with the Bvlgari founder’s name, Sotirio Bvlgari, and on the inside of the ring and the back of the pendant the Save the Children’s logo serves as a reminder to the wearer of the jewel’s purpose. The jewels will be available for sale until Dec 31, 2009.
Pictured here images from the lively party. Many celebrities around the world are now wearing the Bvlgari pieces such as Ben Stiller, Eddie Van Halen, Ronaldinho, Ginnifer Goodwin and Aruba’s very own Myrna Jansen, the director of the Aruba Tourism Authority.
Since 1884, Bvlgari has been setting the pace for Italian style in jewelery. A forward-looking, creative spirit which never ceases to draw inspiration from the timeless beauty of Greek and Roman art, while giving it a distinctive contemporary touch. Greek like its founder, Sotirio Bvlgari – and Roman like the culture he embraced.
