The new Havana Nines store at Paseo Herencia registered much activity this week as Henry Leace, President Havana Nines and Barry “Rocco†Siegel, the company’s Merchandising Manager arrived on the island to help stock the boutique and lend their own finishing touches to the display.
The company, reports Henry just opened two other island stores in Puerto Rico and St Thomas. And while many retail stores on the islands in general offer ordinary and overpriced merchandise Havana Nines carries a linen-based resort-wear collection featuring the guayabera, in a stylish and contemporary interpretation, 12 months a year. Best of all the shirts, vintage Cuban-themed tees, drawstrings pants & hats look great fitted or loose, in sizes S to XXXL.
Shopping for a vacation wardrobe is now as easy as visiting Paseo Herencia, and the locals would certainly like the cool look and attitude that comes with buying and wearing Havana Nines clothes.
Henry, originally from Philadelphia, moved to Miami after college graduation and started the company in 1986. Havana Nines is today a contemporary fashion retailer with stores at Pembroke Gardens, Aventura Mall, and the international airport in Miami. Havana Nines enjoys an avid fan-base among professionals who like great day time looks that could also last them into the night.
Debra Mansur, Managing Director, states that the line is beautifully made, and some sections of the collection boast fancy embroidery, special stitches & floral trims, in bright shades and basic neutrals. But every single item of clothing delivers that special island feel to locals and visitors, and women will find some great styles as well, from linen tunics to their own feminine guayaberas.
