The recently opened restaurant is sister to the well-established Ginger at the Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive Resort, which is designed to serve the in-house guests. Due to its immense popularity a second Ginger was opened at the Alhambra Casino & Shops offering the same lovely cuisine as a free-standing destination restaurant.
The place is popular with food-lovers seeking a memorable dining experience with modern tasteful décor, cozy seating in an air-conditioned dining room, an intimate fully-stocked bar, and tables outside under the stars, enjoying the live music wafting out of Fusion, Piano & Wine Bar just across the way.
Executive chef Gerard Coste is justly proud of the menu made up of favorites with each dish competing for patrons’ attention from soups to starters, and main courses, to noodles, sushi and desserts.
Wednesday night is especially busy as Ginger offers a 3-course dinner for $25.-, enjoying the patronage of guests from the neighboring hotels.
The menu takes off with famous exotic soups such as Wonton, Tom Kha Gai, Soto Ayam and Asian Crab and further explores seafood specialties such as Tuna Tartar and Spicy Shrimp as starters.
Other interesting appetizers include Asian Carpaccio and Thai Beef, light and crispy Chicken Eggroll, Duck Lumpia and Tuna Spring Rolls, besides Vegetarian or Shrimp tempura.
The House Sushi Platter delivers a colossal combination of California rolls, spicy crab & salmon avocado, Niki tuna wakame, Nigiri tuna, salmon & Shrimp, all served with wasabi, pickled ginger and chukka wakame.
Generous main courses are served with a choice of jasmine rice or fried rice, and include Vietnamese Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Pork, Thai Green Curry and Chicken Sate just to name a few.
The Ginger’s combination Platter is a veritable hit with Spicy Beef, Chicken Sate & Tempura Shrimps, crowding a large serving dish, and tasting like heaven!
Ginger serves Tokyo Noodles, Jakarta Noodles, and Singapore Spicy Noodles, in a unique and authentic style, with a number of satisfying sides such as Green Asparagus and Stir-Fried Asian Vegetables.
Make room for dessert as the Ginger Lemon Cream, or the Mango & Ginger Sorbet with lychee are worth the sinful indulgence.
