Palm Beach – Managing Director and CEO Alejandro Muyale, welcomed the employees of General Air Service to the grand ballroom of the Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino, for the traditional yearend gala and award party.
The resort’s culinary team served a spectacular holiday buffet and the musical entertainment for the night included Gaita Sparkle, DJ Beats, Robert Jean d’Or Y Su Solo Banda Show, and the popular Upgrade Music, which filled the dance floor with elegantly dressed couples and colleagues.
The official part of the evening was emceed by Nelio Gomes Da Silva and General Air Service General Manager Dimitri Pavlowitch who joined Managing Director and CEO Alejandro Muyale to present top performers with handsomely engraved plaques, gifts, pats on the back and applause.
Pavlowitch reports that the company’s growth has been remarkable going from just 75 employees during the Millennium, to 278, in 2012. The company which handles an average of 35 flights a day, services United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Jet Blue, Air Tran Southwest, Spirit Airline, KLM, as well as all flights of Tui, ArcaFly, Thompson and Tomas Cook, besides handling DHL, Fed Ex & UPS.
General Air Services also takes care of all flights by its sister company Tiara Air, as well as many regional airliners from Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia, and charter flights.
Lead Agent Roxanne Rumnit and Customer Service Agent Rudolf van Tol, earned the Employee of the Year 2012, title for General Air Services in the Above the Wing category. Both were lauded for their excellent work ethic and skills, serving incoming and outgoing passengers at Reina Beatrix Airport with infinite patience and professionalism.
Coordinator Malvin Tromp, and Agent Ruud Maduro won the Employee of the Year 2012 title at General Air Services in the Below the Wing category. Both were recognized for their stellar attitude and conduct, servicing ingoing and outgoing airplanes and handling luggage at Reina Beatrix Airport, with total dedication, focus and pride.
