DJ/Producer and Audio Engineer for JAY Z and BEYONCE Teaching in ART RULES!

The legendary YOUNG GURU also known as Jay Z’s right hand is coming to Aruba to teach the DJ workshops in Art Rules with returning teacher DJ Face.

Having selected an extraordinary team of Educators whom are at the top in the field, Art Rules has this year realized to put together an amazing team of master teachers for this years’ Master Edition.

Including, legendary mix engineer, Gimel “Young Guru” Keaton known as the man behind the iconic sound of world-renowned artist Jay-Z. Over the course of the last twenty years Guru has become one of the most influential minds in audio engineering. Initially known for his award-winning audio mixes on some of the most successful commercial releases in the history of modern music he is also highly regarded for his unique ability to communicate complex technical terms, to not only students but creatives and business professionals alike.
Young Guru has spoken at numerous universities such as the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music a New York University also remaining one of the most sought after audio engineers in music today. From old school to the new comers he does it all and with names such as R&B/Pop Diva Beyonce or Rap Icon and Oscar Winner Common on his roster, he is still defining most of the music we listen to today.

Joining Young Guru for the 2nd week of the program Art Rules re introduces, Washington DC based Sean Armstrong also known as Art Rules 2010-2012 DJ Teacher, DJ FACE.
DJ Face is best known for being able to connect with his listeners with his talent for excellent song selection, seamless blends, and superb timing to keep the dance floor moving all night.
In addition he performs as a DJ across boarders from London, Amsterdam, Germany, Hog Kong and everything in between. DJ Face has also spun alongside artists and bands such as Saturday Night Live house band The Roots, Rap Legend Pete Rock and DJ Icon Kid Capri, to name a few.

With Young Guru and DJ Face each teaching 1 week in the program, this years’ DJ workshop is expected to be the most well rounded workshop ever presented in the program. Bringing in the expertise, experience and knowledge of both Young Guru and DJ face, will bring forward a curriculum that includes the full package in DJ-ing and Producing.

Art Rules Aruba #6 will kick off on July 20th till July 31st at the Arts Academy Aruba also known as the Rietveld Academy. On August 1st 2015 the program will present a big showcase to take place at the same location.
