The second annual Aruba in Style fashion event unfolded this past weekend in Aruba, with local and international designers presenting a series of runway shows, collection presentations and cocktail parties at trendy hot-spots around the island.

Divi Resorts showed its full support for the fashionable weekend, which is aimed at cementing Aruba’s name as the chicest place in the Caribbean. The brand’s various properties and unique venues offered the perfect locations to host some of the most important events to take place during Aruba in Style.

On Friday afternoon, just as the sun was setting, Pure Beachrestaurant, located at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, hosted the Dutch & Aruban Group Show, with Dutch designers Allan Vos and Edwin Oudshoorn teaming up with local designers Elisa Lejuez and Gigliola Designs for an unforgettable runway show.

Known as one of the island’s hottest venues, the slick-looking Pure Beach, with its European style and location right on a pristine strip of white sand, surrounded by water on three sides, provided the perfect backdrop for the runway show. Pure Beach is known for its artful menu of eclectic epicurean fare and signature cocktails, which attract a jet-set international crowd. The venue is popular with guests staying at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort; an all-suite property with a high-rise tower that offers stunning views and private balconies, as well as 42” plasma TVs, fully equipped kitchens, picture windows, and much more.

The Divi Phoenix’s freshwater pools also played host to Aruba in Style on Friday night, as back-to-back fashion shows presented the designs of Caffe Swimwear (Colombia) and Arubianas by Eva Zissu (Venezuela).

The following morning, Windows on Aruba, at theDivi Links Golf & Beach Resort, served up an elegant Wedding Champagne Brunch to celebrate the creations of Brazilian designer Samuel Cirnansck.Windows on Aruba is a fully glass-enclosed, air conditioned restaurant, with sweeping panoramic views of The Links at Divi Aruba’s 9-hole golf course and the turquoise Caribbean waters just beyond. With several culinary awards and nominations under its belt, the fine dining restaurant was well-prepared to wow visitors with its mouthwatering creations and impeccable service.
