The Clown Doctors Aruba received a generous donation from Jacqueline Cannon-Collot made in loving memory of Dania Alami, who just recently passed away, in her early teens, losing her battle with cancer about a month after transplant.
From Dubai, yet staying for treatment in a US hospital, Dania and her family became friends with Jacqueline Cannon-Collot and her son Julien, on the same ward.
Jacqueline recalls: “I met them 3 years ago when we were all at the hospital; she beat her initial cancer, but as fate would have it, developed a secondary cancer, leukemia in reaction to all the chemotherapy. She loved the Clown Doctors and we made the donation to Aruba’s Clown Doctors Foundation in her name. Dania Alami adored Julien, and both had a smile on their faces when the clowns visited the cancer ward in which they were hospitalized. R.I.P my precious girl, take good care of our Julien, we will never forget your beautiful smile, your funny ways, and your loving heart.”
