Locals are joining visitors for lunch in town at the Turtle Cove, an excellent spot to restore and refresh, right in the heart of Oranjestad.
Located on the second floor of Aruba’s central bus terminal, at the Oroubo Plaza, the colorful tropical café now offers new lunch entrees served in a genuine Caribbean ambiance, in an alfresco setting.
Try the Curried Mango Chicken, or the Curried Shrimp, the fresh Fish Creole, Steak in mushroom sauce, or the Salmon in creamy garlic, served with steamed vegetables, fried banana, French fries or saffron rice, during your next business meeting and you will witness your associates relaxed and willing, combining business with pleasure, pampered by caring and courteous service, and easy-on-the-pocket prices.
Jose Lacle, at the helm of the Turtle Cove, is an expert of regional recipes and he puts his vast knowledge of Caribbean food to work at the restaurant.
Beside Fish & Seafood the menu also featured many light appetizers such as escargots and ceviche, and delivers a sinful Fried Cheese Cake, served with a cool scoop of vanilla ice cream, which should be outlawed by the diet police, if they knew about it.
The large round bar shows sports on TV most hours of the day paired with an ongoing $2 beer happy-hour.
The café enjoys ample parking, right below, at the central bus stop.
