Eagle Beach – During the May General Meeting at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino associates and members of management reviewed their commitment to excellence and team work by means of a kite building contest.
The Kite Affair was introduced to associates as a symbol of collaboration and while they were building kits in their respective departments associates discussed what it takes to fly one, and the delicate yet resilient structure it employs.
Kits are a familiar sight around the island in the Spring, when many kite building and flying competitions take place. While it looks simple, it is really an art that requires precision and dedication, says General Manager Joe Najjar, whose kite while small, displayed a great aerodynamic promise.
The program for the afternoon was filled with speakers and presentation outlining the extremely rewarding employee and guest satisfaction scores, supporting the general feeling of well-being experienced by visiting tourists and local resort employees.
Among speakers Martin Ras who discussed additional opportunities for improvement and Damian Tromp and Aichel Lynch who lauded the highest scoring departments. Ena Vrolijk outlined the importance of communication and Martin Ras delivered a process presentation.
