La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino Celebrates Anniversaries With Five Hundred and Eighty Years of Experience

Eagle Beach — A festive, friendly and fun gathering commemorated anniversaries at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino. A total of 580 years were acknowledge with associates who concluded 5, 15 and 20 year anniversaries at the resort.

Party emcee Aichel Lynch conducted the festivities with charm and spunk, inviting the general manager Joe Najjar to give a welcome address followed by the rest of the afternoon events which included award presentations and a special one-of-a-kind recognition to Mildred Clemencia, from the Department of Human Resources,  who had worked at the resort for 20 years without ever taking a  day of sick-leave, not even one!

Among those celebrating their fifth anniversary,  working at the resort from 2008 through 2013, Pierre Kock, the resort’s director of food and beverage, Linda Mitchell, Naisa Nurse, Alexandra Werleman, Soinise Antoine, Sandy Ras, the resort’s director of activities, Greta Boerman, executive chef Sonny Partodikromo, Maisy Murray, Joan Barret, Armando del Valle and Waizir Mohamed.

Those celebrating their 15th Anniversary, coming on board from 1998 through 2013, Rudolf Dirksz, Erwin Donata, Wanda Winterdal, Marc Anthony, Martha Acevedo, Luz Adriana Danje, Yadira Brito and Yolanda Boekhoudt.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, having joined in 1993 and worked through 2013, Orlando Bolivar, the resort’s manager on duty, Walter Kelly, Frederick Lovell, Rocio Velasquez, Marleny Rodriguez, Patricia Bernabela, Geegee Mabalay, Kirk Lovelace, Edgar Garcia, the resort’s assistant general manager who has in fact been on the property for more than 25 years — from the pre construction ear — Jessica Franken, Gretiane Jonas, Glenda Brokke, Cynthia Headley, Yolanda Cardona, Maritza Odor, Luis Alegre, Rafael Brunal, Ingrid Tromp, Mildred Clemencia, and Eleucadia Croes.

The atmosphere was truly cozy and familiar while associates were recognized individually, over champagne and a delicious buffet of hors d’oeuvres, for their hard work and most of all for the love they manifest for their work-place every day going to work with passion and determination.
