From Denzel Washington to Spike Lee, Award winning Actor, Writer and Poet, Lemon Andersen and Actor, Director and Yale University Educator Jordan Mahome are getting ready for Art Rules Aruba 2011!

The Ultimate theater workshop experience is around the corner and with the best of the best from around the world coming to the Island to share their knowledge and skills; young-ones are in for a lifetime experience. Are you between13-25 and have an interest in theater or big screen acting, writing or directing? Then, the theater workshop with Lemon and Jordan is for you!! 

Lemon Andersen is an original cast member of Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, a show that took home the Tony Award for “Special Theatrical Event” in 2003 and the Drama Desk nomination for “Unique Theatrical Experience.” Lemon’s film acting credits include The Soloist, starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Jamie Foxx, as well as Spike Lee’s Miracle At St. Anna, Sucker Free City, She Hate Me, and he appeared opposite Denzel Washington in Inside Man. His poetry has been featured on everything from radio spots, to print ads, to the limited edition of Absolut Vodka Brooklyn.

A native New Yorker of Puerto Rican and Norwegian decent, Lemon, joins fellow New Yorker, Educator, Actor, Writer and Director Jordan Mahome. Mahome has taught in the urban areas of Los Angeles, New York and Cleveland Ohio. His specialty being Voice/Speech and Acting for Actors, Mahome has also thought classes at America’s most prestigious and rigorous education institution Yale University. Jordan’s professional career spans from performances in theatre to acting in Hollywood films (Life with Eddy Murphy), TV shows (Law & Order/NYPD Blue) and several commercials.

Together Lemon and Jordan will offer a class for anyone interested in expanding their skill, for the stage.

Are you interested in acting, directing or even have a passion for writing, Lemon and Jordan will help students to build and learn on several techniques and methods in creating and performing in theater or on the big screen.

The Art Rules Aruba theater workshop promises to not only be a lifetime opportunity, teachers are letting it known, “this will be challenging, emotional, physical but above all and most certainly a lot fun”.
