The local Chamber of Commerce organized an interesting and enlightening presentation targeting local entrepreneurs, discussing “Financial Statements.”

The interactive lecture covered the importance of financial statements, the general principles governing them, the required content and the relevant island-specific information as set forth by the local tax authority. The forum also covered Legislation, practice & international developments regarding the annual compilations.

The lecture was held in the auditorium at the Chamber of Commerce and featured Lorena Maduro, Director Business and Accounting Services at PWC, Herbert van Elferen, Director at PWC and Edsel Lopez, senior partner of PWC, a main speakers.

Lorena Maduro reports the lecture, in Papiamento, borrowed some accounting- lingo from English, as some of the specific terms are yet to be invented and added to the spoken local language, but besides that the audience enjoyed the discussion, equally benefitting those who knew a lot, and those who knew very little.
