The annual local Corporate Appreciation Party is always fun, but this year Ariana Santiago Gonzalez, Sales Manager and Adrian Arends Director of Events, went all out when they offered the members of Executive Plus a disco party, a trip on board Edison Tromp’s time-machine to the 70s and 80s, as the DJ was spinning funk, Latin and soul from a glowing, psychedelic sound arena.
The party at the Renaissance Convention Center, Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, also introduced Peggy Muzo, representing the Renaissance Curacao property, visiting Aruba in order to meet and mingle with corporate clients.

The elaborate disco party starred Michael Jackson in a surprise performance as well as the music of the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Lionel Richie, Las Chicas del Can, the Village People and Kool & the Gang.

Party-goers prepared well and dressed up, raiding all boutiques in town for platform shoes, afros, shiny polyester tops, bell-bottom pants, fake gold chains, dashiki shirts on men, and blue eye-shadow with mile-long artificial lashes on ladies.

The tremendous food display featured an interactive buffet where guests could dress up their own Seafood Chowder, order sushi to their linking, live from an exhibition chef, interact with the Tempura cooks, linger at the carving station, and enjoy crepes Suzette made to order for dessert, chased by fantastic petit fours, over free flowing martinis, and premium cocktails.

Ariana Santiago Gonzalez, at the helm of the Executive Plus program promised additional incentives and points to corporate suppliers booking local business into the Renaissance properties, in 2010.
