Picture12Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa once again scoured its adopted mile, the stretch of road between the resort on Palm Beach and the Mill Resort & Suites further toward Eagle Beach. A crew of energetic colleagues from the resort’s various departments, Accounting, Pool & Beach, Beverage and Laundry collected beer bottles and plastic cups, Styrofoam boxes and other debris from the relatively quiet boulevard portion, slumbering between the hotels. Things are getting better, they report. Arubans are more conscientious and the tourists naturally bring good environmental habits from Europe and North America. Still, vigilance is smart. The Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association, AHATA, dedicates a certain day once a month to a “Clean a Mile” program in which volunteer hotels, assigned to a stretch of the main highway, commit to a cleaning action. The Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa earmarks resources to the initiative and shows up each time!
