DSC08370The final banquet of SITE IC 09 was co-produced by ECO Destination Management of Aruba showing off that company’s great creativity at conceptualizing and executing mega-events, and the Banqueting Team of the Renaissance Aruba Resort. The partners delivered an exciting Carnival-themed event designed exclusively for SITE 09, with the help of Elite Productions, in charge of sound and light, wines sponsored by the Aruba Trading Company, and ATCO, Associated Transport Company, container-transporting all props and decoration pieces.
”The great partnerships of the two Renaissance hotels with ECO DMS, is what made the evening so successful,” remarked Wichita Villacres, ECO President & CEO. “The event greatly benefited from the extra efforts put in by Glenda Henricus, Ruben Mannes, Anneke Leverock & Magali Meza. Their passion and determination allowed us to overcome challenges along the road,” she added.

“ECO DMS has been a SITE member for the past 20 years,” Villacres went on to explain,” and we are enthusiastic about the MICE market and love group business, as represented by the meeting professionals, members of SITE. I am very proud of the ECO DMS management team in Aruba, and applaud the ATA/AHATA partnership that put together such a great conference program.”

SITE members visiting the island between Oct 30th and Nov 2nd, were especially touched by the warmth and hospitality of the Aruban people, who came out on Sunday night in Carnival costumes in order to participate in the parade around the Renaissance Marketplace. “We couldn’t have done it without Aruba’s Carnival fans, and we thank you very much for making it happen,” Villacres concluded.
