A farewell luncheon in honor or Laura & Monique celebrated productive and creative ten months in which the two lovely Dutch stagiers served as apprentices at La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club, Monique in the Food & Beverage department in charge of food safety and Laura at the department of Human Resources as Event Coordinator.
Laura, spunky and spontaneous, Monique methodical and organized contributed a great deal to their departments, says General Manager Joe Najjar who wished the two university students success in all their upcoming endeavors.
While Laura is quite confident her future is in hospitality, Monique is still weighting her options, perfecting her Spanish next, on a stint as a student in Spain.
Both Laura and Monique report they learned a lot in Aruba, and Pierre Kock, the Director of Food & Beverage is quick to point out that a certain successful director of operations at a branded high rise hotel, also jump-started her career as a stagier at La Cabana.
