The Palm Beach Plaza currently under the last stages of construction celebrated an important milestone last week as eight local entrepreneurs made a trip to the site to collect the keys for their new stores in the mall, ready to embark on a design journey that will culminate with a new business and a fresh opportunity, and most importantly, the inauguration of the Palm Beach Plaza as a major attraction.
It was a very exciting day at the Palm Beach Plaza, as the investors and representative of Shivas Gold & Gems, Mimo’s Ice Cream, Havana Cigar & Spirit Bar, Mama’s Mexico Restaurant and Mama’s Mexico Fruit & Cocktail Bar, Monarch Jewels, the Post Office and Sir James House of Coffee, met Mall Manager Alex Otterspeer, who delivered a festive bottle of champagne to go with the set of shiny keys.
The unique mall is preparing for opening in the fall, once interiors are complete, and over the next few days management will be handing keys over to the balance of the tenants.
“Aruba’s no.1 attraction is the beach,” says Ash Ramchandani on behalf of Landy NV who developed the project with a fifty million florin investment, “and Aruba’s no. 2 attraction is opening soon, the Palm Beach Plaza which offers so much more than just shopping.”
The Palm Beach Plaza located on the boulevard just ahead of the Marriott Surf Club has been building since 2007, with15.000 m2 of fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
Hailed as the largest mall in the Southern Caribbean, it is an all-day family entertainment center offering an abundance of activities to vacationers and locals, of all ages.
Landy NV, with managing director Muller Solognier at the helm, is a partnership of three well-established developers, who attracted a great number of prestigious tenants to their multi-level mall.
“Out tenants,” states Otterspeer, “are excited about moving into the heart of Palm Beach, within walking distance of all high-rise resorts, and have excellent design ideas, and decorations plans, for their new outlets.”
The Palm Beach Plaza is welcoming Shivas Gold & Gems, Tommy Hilfiger, Façonnable, Benetton, San Marina Shoes, Sunspecs, Swatch & Del Sol, Sketchers, Nautica, Royal Jewels & Diamonds, Monarch Jewels, , Guess, Guess Kids, Perry Ellis, Addict, Penha Perfumeries, Panache, the Shoe Box, Jon Sonen, Shabby Shic, Giordano, a 8 movie-theater Mega Plex, Aruba’s first food court, and a children’s entertainment floor operating a Kiddie-Train, a Rock Climbing wall, a Bowling Alley, an electronic game zone and a thrilling Cable Slide, next to an indoor supervised play room.
The mall will also feature a Day Spa, a branch of Western Union, the Post-Office and a Mini-Market, in addition to a number of theme restaurants including Casa Tua Mediterranean, Epoca Nuova, Hoshi Sushi and Mama Mexico set amid tropical vegetation, with 354 easily accessible, ground level parking spaces, and nicely lit walking lanes to and from the hotel strip.
