Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach, Aruba, was founded in 1984. The club began with just 26 members and has grown to its current membership of 51. Over the years, the club has held many fundraisers, including the famous annual Carnaval Masquerade Party, on the eve of the grand parade. The Kiwanis of Palm Beach help out in the community in a variety of ways, including sponsoring youth groups, clean-ups, raising money to benefit children, children’s support groups, and study scholarships.
The club has enjoyed a rich history over the years, with its members coming from fields such as accounting, civil service, education and management. In 2009, the club will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary, a fact that will be commemorated by a second large fundraiser titled ‘Ban Uni Florin …’ on April 30, 2009.
For more information, check out the News page and the Activities Calendar on line or speak to one of the members who will proudly elaborate on the club’s contributions to the Aruban community.
