The Minnie and Micky Club
Rumor has it that Minnie and Mickey left the Disney Magic cruise ship docked in the Oranjestad harbor and checked themselves into La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club in order to attend the employee themed-luncheon at the Chit Chat Café the following day.
Whether the rumor is true or not, the two much-loved Walt Disney World characters were a hit in the cafeteria when the Members Relations department in collaboration with the Executive Office and the Owner’s Reservations department pulled off a fantastic event. They played animated movies nonstop and broadcast Disney movie hits.
All associates were welcomed with a Disney lapel pin and Jessica Franken’s customized mouse ears and heart-shaped aprons. The entrance arch designed by the Engineering department, and the wall decorations delivered Disney magic to the cafeteria, enhancing everybody’s midday break.
