This past Tuesday morning, it was “Take your Kid to Work Day” at The Westin Aruba Resort.  Associates were encouraged to bring their children to work so that they can have a better understanding of what mom and dad do all day, as well as experience what it is like to work in
different departments within the resort.
The island’s next generation of hospitality executives got to spend the
morning in the kitchen, with housekeeping, the front office, the executive
offices, the Kid’s Club, the fitness center, and various other aspects of
the inner-workings of the property.
Later that morning, over snacks and drinks, representatives from Animal
Rights Aruba, an organization that The Westin Aruba Resort is a proud
supporter of, gave a presentation on pet care at home and brought small
animals like a chicken, turtles, and a dog for the children to interact
with. The children also received goody bags donated by the T.E.A.M. Worker’s
Union at The Westin Aruba Resort.
The day was a big success, leaving the kids with a better appreciation for
their parent’s responsibilities at work and also feeling like a part of The
Westin Aruba family.
