Following long months of hard work, preparations and dedication, Producer Steve Hudson is pleased to introduce a new show to the Crystal Theatre. “Havana Dance,” he explains, is ready to launch its next very different, exclusive and extravagant Cuban spectacle, hailing directly from Varadero, Cuba.
“Havana Dance” is ready to debut at the luxurious Crystal Theatre, Renaissance Aruba Resort on July 30th, 2008, presenting Monday to Saturday, at 9 p.m., 90 minutes of sizzling entertainment, with the exception of Sunday, when the theater is dark.
“Havana Dance” is a purely Cuban spectacle, with a cast of 12 female ballerinas, 4 male dancers, 2 singers and 3 acrobats, delivering a fresh program accompanied by live Cuban music performed on stage by a genuine Cuban orchestra, consisting of 5 professional Cuban musicians. This live dance and live music combination as seen in our pictures, is ‘first of its kind’ on the island.
While the greater part of the “Havana Dance” review will have a predominantly Cuban flavor, it will be performed with a truly unique Caribbean choreography, and many tropical touches.
“Havana Dance” unfolds on a two-tiered stage, with entrances and exits to and off the arena at different heights, which also presents a new visual concept. The custom-designed costumes are sensual, daring, colorful, and luxurious and will set the “Havana Dance” show apart from any other performance.
Producer Steve Hudson who enjoyed an unprecedentedly-successful seven-year run with his previous “Let’s Go Latin” review, knew it was time to let his much-loved show go, in order to conceive and create a contemporary and much-evolved new production. The gala premier on the 30th, will bring months of preparations to a fever-pitched conclusion.
